Shuangqiao ecological turtle

Shuangqiao Village is located in the northwest of Yunhe Town, next to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. It is the center of the Hangjiahu Plain and is known as the "land of plenty". There are 3025 agricultural population and 765 farmers, with a land area of 2027 mu, including 1860 mu of ponds. In recent years, the turtle industry in Shuangqiao Village has been rapidly developed and improved both in scale and yield benefit. Up to now, the ecological turtle breeding area in the village has reached 1418 mu, with an output value of 32 million yuan. Shuangqiao Village has become a national ecological turtle production base (village) and a pollution-free breeding base in Hangzhou. The leading industry in Shuangqiao Village is ecological turtle breeding. The area of ecological turtle breeding in the village is 1,418 mu, accounting for more than 70% of the village area. The total amount of breeding is 1.8 million, and the annual production of commercial turtles reaches 709 tons, with an output value of 32 million yuan, accounting for more than 90% of the village's agricultural output value. There are many people engaged in ecological turtle breeding, and the per capita net income in 2010 reached 16,800 yuan. Hangzhou Yuhang Fengsheng Soft-shelled Turtle Professional Cooperative has been established in this village. Up to now, there are 58 members, and the annual per capita net income of cooperative members is more than 15,000 yuan, which is about 10% higher than that of the whole village. Eco-turtle farmers in the village are all members of the "Ben" brand Chinese soft-shelled turtle management association, and they regularly participate in turtle breeding technical training courses sponsored by the association every year, and carry out breeding technical training more than twice a month through the distance education platform to continuously improve the breeding technical level of farmers. Shuangqiao Village undertook and implemented the national-level ecological turtle breeding park project in 2003 and the provincial-level high-standard ecological fish pond reconstruction project in 2008, all of which were successfully completed. Shuangqiao Village's agricultural economy is dominated by the ecological turtle industry, which accounts for more than 90% of the total agricultural proportion in the village. It can be said that it is a veritable ecological turtle village.
