Duotian Xianglong xinghua city Duotian Town is the largest production base of shallots in China and the "hometown of shallots". The leading vegetable product in Duotian Town, "Xinghua Xianglong", is bright green in color, tender in texture, rich in flavor and nutrition, and has the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine. Xinghua chives can be planted in four seasons, especially in spring and autumn, with the highest yield and the best quality. The annual planting area is 50,000 mu, with an annual output of 150,000 tons of fresh onions. There are 12,100 farmers engaged in planting Xinghua shallots, and the annual planting benefit per mu exceeds 10,000 yuan. In 2002, the town's 33,700 mu "Xinghua Xianglong" base passed the certification of pollution-free vegetable origin in Jiangsu Province, and was recognized as a national agricultural standardization demonstration zone in 2005. Four shallot products passed the certification of pollution-free agricultural products and two passed the certification of green food. In 2006, "Xinghua shallot" became a national geographical indication protection product. There are 76 processing enterprises of dehydrated vegetables with shallots in Duotian Town, including 38 large-scale enterprises and 13 large-scale enterprises with self-export vegetables. Duotian Town has basically formed an industrial structure in which "Xinghua shallot" is the main dehydrated vegetable trade, industry and agriculture are integrated, and production, processing and marketing are coordinated, and it has become the largest dehydrated vegetable base in Asia. Dehydrated vegetable products with "Xinghua shallot" as the leading product are exported to more than 30 countries and regions such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, Hongkong and Taiwan Province.
