Yangzhong Lvyuan Cordyceps Chicken Professional Cooperative Breeding Base is located in the Lvyuan Ecological Sightseeing Park, which is outside the river beach of Mingfeng Village in Youfang Town, covering an area of 300 mu. The base has a 25-mu area for stocking Taihu grass chickens, a 700-square-meter brick-and-mortar chicken house and a 1,300-square-meter shed. All grass chickens are naturally stocked. Alfalfa is planted in the stocked area to become the feed for Taihu chickens. A small amount of wheat bran and rice bran are supplemented daily when chicks are hatched and stocked, and the feed is all from the cooperative planting base. The feed for adult chickens in Taihu Lake is mainly grass and insects, and the chickens are in good health, and the eggs are nutritious and delicious. Chickens and eggs produced by cooperatives have been tested and certified by the state, and both have obtained organic certification certificates issued by the state. The products produced have sold well in this city, Nanjing, Shanghai and other places, and are well received by consumers.
