Jiangsu zhangduan

Produced in Danyang, Jiangsu. It is an all-silk cooked fabric, which is made of eight satin patterns and raised by velvet. The finished product is satin-set suede, which looks like relief and is elastic. It was developed on the basis of the famous "Zhangmianli" shearing in Yuan Dynasty. Its manufacturing process is complicated, and it is all manual operation. The pile warp adopts four-weft consolidation method, and the weft insertion sequence must be carried out according to coarse weft, fine weft, middle weft and raising rod, and it is woven by flower lifting machine. The velvet warp is lifted separately according to the pattern, and the rest of the non-flowered parts sink to the ground and join to the fine weft. Velveteen warp uses pagoda simple sub-frame, velvet tube, etc. to separate straight silk. When weaving, weavers and flower pullers must cooperate closely, weave into pile loops through complicated operations, and cut them off with a knife after reaching a certain length to form fluff. The satin pattern is quaint and luxurious in color, which can be divided into round flowers and scattered flowers. The former includes the Eight Immortals Map, the Double-line Yunjiyuanhua, the Peony Ruyi Flower, etc. The latter includes Dalotan full of scattered flowers, full of scattered horizontal flowers, four treasures wearing branches, four immortals longevity, full of flowers running round and scattered longevity flowers and so on. The main colors are black, blue, brown and apricot. The product fluff stands upright, enduring, elegant and noble. It can be used as high-grade robe materials, which are regarded as treasures by Mongolian and Tibetan brothers, and used as decorative materials, such as sofa cover and curtains.
