Jinshan dengcai

Zhenjiang Lantern Festival enjoys a long reputation as a traditional handicraft with a long history. The Mei brothers, a famous family of lights in Zhenjiang, inherited the tradition and were innovative, and were well received for their exquisite design, beautiful shape and gorgeous decoration. In the Spring Festival of 1985, they organized the Golden Mountain Lantern Festival from Baoding to Beijing, which was welcomed by the people in the capital and reported by TV stations and newspapers. The golden dragon pearls they made took off in the foyer of the China Pavilion of the Tsukuba World Expo, which opened in March, 1985.
