"Five Golden Flowers" soft-shelled turtle is a unique species in our county, belonging to the Chinese soft-shelled turtle. Farmers generally raise soft-shelled turtles in lakes or ponds. The backs of soft-shelled turtles raised in this near-wild breeding environment are mostly dark brown, which is quite different from those raised artificially. Most of the free-range turtles have a number of deep black patterns on their bellies, and there are five patterns, so this kind of Chinese soft-shelled turtle is a "five golden flowers" turtle. The growth rate of imitation wild five-golden-flower soft-shelled turtle is relatively slow, and it usually takes four years to grow to 0.75kg. Therefore, the production price is higher than that of ordinary soft-shelled turtle, which is generally from 80 yuan to 120 yuan per catty. Farmers rely on the unique local geographical environment to breed soft-shelled turtles in a wild state, and feed them with natural foods such as snails and small fish, so that the taste and nutritional value of five golden-flowered soft-shelled turtles are similar to the quality level of wild soft-shelled turtles. On the same day, in the CCTV Charming Agricultural Products Carnival, Baoying's "Five Golden Flowers" turtle booth attracted the attention of leaders from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Commerce and many Beijing citizens. CCTV interviewed the heads of county aquatic products departments and representatives of aquaculture enterprises respectively. At the subsequent awards party, the jury gave a high evaluation to the "five golden flowers" soft-shelled turtle in our county, believing that Baoying is a land of plenty, and five golden flowers are a treasure of Baoying. The person in charge of Lvbaodang Aquaculture Company in our county took the stage to receive the trophy.
