Luduoluan needle embroidery

Lu Duo disorderly needle embroidery originated from the folk embroidery process in Lixiahe area of northern Jiangsu, and then combined with the characteristics of Su embroidery, Xiang embroidery and Yang embroidery, it gradually formed a unique style of Lu Duo disorderly needle embroidery, which contained "emotion" in the needle and "meaning" in the thread, and became a rising star of embroidery technology. In the second half of the 19th century, the traditional embroidery techniques of pillowcase, belly pocket and flower shoes were boldly innovated by Yang Mo's family of Luduo, and the designs of zodiac, flowers and plants were incorporated, which enriched the content of traditional embroidery. Pan Hezhen, her daughter, further expanded the decorative surface of embroidery, laying the foundation with random needles, seeking truth from facts in chaos, and making embroidery more vivid and realistic. Later, Mo Xuechun, a successor, made good use of other mountains' stones and went to Suzhou, Changzhou and other places to learn from teachers. Combining with the characteristics of embroidery in Baoying water town, he constantly innovated and integrated into the innocent and simple aesthetic taste of the villagers in the water town, making the embroidery process "chaotic but not miscellaneous, dense but not piled up". The content of the works has expanded from a single flower and landscape to more than 10 varieties such as portrait and the world famous paintings photography. Luduo random needle embroidery has gradually formed industrialization from the original workshop. There are more than 3,000 embroiderers in the town, and its products are exported to more than 10 countries and regions in Europe, America, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, enjoying a good reputation at home and abroad.
