Five-Ding Baozi Yangzhou "Five-Ding Baozi" is an innovation on the basis of "Three-Ding Baozi", which is made of diced ginseng, diced chicken, diced diced pork, diced bamboo shoots and diced shrimp. It is said that when Qianlong once toured Yangzhou, he talked about the early preparation of imperial meals. That is, "nourishing but not filling, delicious but not fresh, oily but not greasy, crisp but not hard, tender but not soft." Yangzhou famous chef came up with: sea cucumber nourishes, less but not enough; Chicken is delicious, less but not too fresh; Pork is fragrant, less but not too greasy; Winter bamboo shoots are crisp, less but not too hard; Shrimp is tender but not too soft. When these five flavors are mixed together, they are fresh, fragrant, crisp and tender. If the amount of materials used in each flavor is less, the gist of "-Guo" can be achieved. According to this, steamed buns are made. After tasting them, when asked about the name of steamed buns, the attache replied that this is called "five-sentence steamed buns". Later, the local people thought that the stuffing of this kind of steamed stuffed bun was made of five diced buns, and the original chef's surname was Ding, so they called it "five diced buns".
