Longgang pear

The sand hills in the north of Longgang Town are suitable for long pears. People have been growing pears, apples and peaches for a long time. In order to further develop fruit tree production, Longgang Fruit Farm was established here. A new variety of pear was introduced from Shandong. After grafting and regeneration, it was adapted to the local growth and updated into Longgang pear. Pear is shaped like a spindle and tastes like tender ling, with an average single fruit weight of 200 grams and a maximum of 800 grams. The pulp layer is thick and the sugar content is more than 15 grams, which can moisten the lungs, relieve cough and treat asthma. In Jiangsu province, it won the championship three times and exported to Shanghai and Hong Kong markets. Food canneries all over Jiangsu are used to process pears in sugar water for export. The total annual output reaches more than 3 million Jin. Longgang pear is a geographical indication certification trademark.
