Geographical scope Jinhu is located in the northern edge of subtropical zone, influenced by monsoon climate in subtropical humid area, with distinct four seasons, abundant sunshine, warm and humid, abundant rainfall and long frost-free period. Surrounded by lakes on three sides, the river network is dense, the countryside is square, the soil is fertile, the water quality is clean and the air is fresh. Rich water and soil resources and superior ecological environment meet the basic requirements for producing green and pollution-free food, and the produced rice is pollution-free, pollution-free and excellent in quality. In recent years, the rice area of Jinhu with specific quality has stabilized at 530,000 mu, with a total output of 280,000 tons and a commodity rate of 52%. Cultural allusions Jinhu County is known as the "Land of Fish and Rice" and is a national high-quality rice production base. In 2008, in order to unify the promotion of Jinhu rice brand, the county rice industry association decided to declare the collective trademark of "Jinhu rice" geographical indication. As the trademark of "Jinhu" was registered by Yan Shubin, a Sichuanese before, the first thing to be solved is to get the name of "Jinhu" back. Ma Farong, member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and deputy county magistrate, and Zheng Shide, deputy county magistrate of Wu Yao Pinghe Industry and Commerce Bureau, went to Beijing several times to communicate, coordinate and fight for the trademark office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. At the end of last year, Yan Shubin successfully cancelled the registered "Jinhu" trademark and applied for registration of the collective trademark of "Jinhu Rice" geographical indication. In November last year, the collective trademark of "Jinhu Rice" geographical indication was registered by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, and in February this year, it officially obtained the trademark registration certificate. Jinhu rice is a geographical indication certification trademark.
