Guannan shallow water lotus is a specialty of guannan county, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. Guannan shallow water lotus variety has excellent texture, its rhizome is thick, its meat is tender, fresh, crisp, sweet, white and flawless, and people love to eat it. Guannan county is known as the hometown of shallow water lotus. Guannan county Green Food shallow water lotus Standardization Demonstration Zone was approved by the National Standards Committee as the sixth batch of national agricultural standardization demonstration zones. Ruilian brand organic lotus root produced by Lianyungang Ruilian Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. has successively obtained JAS (Japan) organic brand certification and NOP (USA) organic certification, and its products have been exported to Japan and the United States. At present, the standardized demonstration area of green food in shallow water lotus, guannan county covers an area of 20,000 mu, with 4,000 demonstration farmers. In 2010, the yield per mu was 1,855 kg, and the quality level all met the quality requirements of green and organic agricultural products.
