Mica, a kind of mica ore suitable for industrial use, is an important raw material for industrial production such as electrical appliances. The only place of origin in Jiangsu Province is Donghai County, Lianyungang City. As early as more than 130 years ago, farmers in Qinglong Mountain and Luhu Lake in Donghai County discovered this mine. Soon, Shanghainese Zhang Shouxi and his people came here to mine. From 1940 to 1943, it was plundered by the Japanese aggressor army, which caused great mineral losses. From 1957 to 1960, the Subei Geological Team of Jiangsu Geological Bureau conducted a general survey and evaluation of mica deposits in the East China Sea. In addition to the two major mining areas of Qinglong and Luchao, more than 30 mica veins were found in Chizhuang, Buhou, Shuangdian and xiaoguanzhuang. At present, except for No.17 vein in Qinglong Mountain, all other veins are available for mining.
