Rudong Meretrix is a specialty of Rudong County, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. Rudong coastal area is one of the main producing areas of Meretrix meretrix. The produced Meretrix meretrix is delicious in meat and contains nutrients such as protein, fat, sugar, calcium, phosphorus and iron. Rudong, a famous clam producing area in China, has an artificial breeding area of more than 500,000 mu and an annual export of more than 60 million tons, making it the largest clam production base in China.
