Haian small persimmon

Haian small persimmon is a specialty of Haian County, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. Haian small persimmon has scarlet pulp, short and thin fibers, sticky texture, sweet slurry, rich in vitamins and trace elements, excellent varieties and rich nutrition, and is suitable for fresh eating. Xiaofang persimmon, as a local characteristic fruit in Hai 'an County, has been cultivated for more than 40 years. In 1982, a dwarf persimmon was found in the courtyard of Guangming Village, Libao Town, Hai 'an County during the general survey of fruit tree resources in Jiangsu Province. Later, it was inspected by the relevant fruit tree experts of Nanjing Agricultural University and led by the Horticulture Department of Jiangsu Agriculture and Forestry Department. In 1986, it passed the provincial appraisal and was compiled into the Catalogue of Fruit Trees in Nantong City. In 1992, it was approved by the Jiangsu Crop Variety Approval Committee and officially named. Small persimmon has the excellent characteristics of short tree, good early fruiting, high and stable yield, bright fruit color, seedless, thin skin, high quality and natural astringency. The pulp is vermilion, the fiber is short, thin and few, the texture is sticky, the slurry is rich in vitamins and trace elements, the variety is excellent, the nutrition is rich, and it is suitable for fresh eating. After years of artificial optimization cultivation, the cultivation area of small persimmon in Hai 'an has been expanding. At present, the area of small persimmon is stable at about 5,000 mu, with 1 million plants around the size, with an annual output of more than 15,000 tons of fresh persimmon. Hai 'an has become a production base of small persimmon near and far, and the production of small persimmon has become an important way to increase farmers' income. In autumn, small persimmon with fragrant fruits is sold well in more than 20 large and medium-sized cities such as Shanghai and Shenzhen.
