Nantong is one of the four major kite producing areas in China. Nantong kites have preserved the ancient characteristics of "the string is blue and the sky is called a kite", and are famous for their unique acoustic effects. They are divided into two groups, North and South, with the modeling kites in the north. Nantong kites, commonly known as "Banharriers", are mostly "seven-star" to "nineteen-star" with flat hexagonal or hexagonal deformation, generally more than one meter in size, and the largest kite is four or five meters high and needs to be carried by truck. The "Banyan" is covered with whistles of different sizes, and the extra-large whistles at the lower part are made of gourd, bamboo, ginkgo, longan and table tennis. Folk paintings such as myths and legends are painted on the surface of the harrier, and two tail ropes tens of meters long are tied at the lower part, and an exquisite board harrier is a precious folk handicraft, which has been treasured by local people and passed down from generation to generation. The big harrier needs many people to pull it and fly it. After liftoff, the large, medium and small outposts emit low, medium and high notes respectively, and the five tones are harmonious, pleasing to the ear and moving, and the sound is as graceful as an "air symphony".
