In 2001-2002, the key scientific and technological project of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, "The Artificial Breeding of Takifugu obscurus and the Development Project of the First-year Commercial Fish (Bayfish)", was successful and won the second prize of the Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award. In the early spring of 2001, 28 groups of parents were introduced from the breeding base of Sinotrans in Hai 'an, and they entered the greenhouse for artificial overwintering cultivation. Because the related technology was not mastered and so on, it was unsuccessful in that year and the economic loss exceeded 100 thousand yuan. In 2002, 36 groups of parents were introduced, and experts from Zhongshui Institute were hired as technical guidance and put into the experiment again. During this period, the techniques of imitating ecology, artificial propagation and seedling cultivation were used, and various difficulties were overcome by constantly improving equipment conditions and operation techniques, and finally success was achieved. In that year, 400,000 summer flowers were bred. At the end of the same year, under the auspices of Changshu Science and Technology Bureau, the project successfully passed the acceptance of the expert group. On this basis, the nursery also undertook the project "Early Spring Breeding Technology Development Project of Takifugu obscurus" issued by the Municipal Science and Technology Commission in 2003-2004. Through artificial breeding technology, the production season was advanced to March, three months earlier than natural spawning, which laid the foundation for the early listing of commercial fish. In two years, the nursery has obtained more than 11 million early seedlings of fugu obscurus, which has gained more than 25 million yuan for farmers, contributed to the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure and the development of high-grade and efficient special aquatic products in our city and surrounding areas, and achieved good economic and obvious social benefits.
