Lacquer carving uses natural paint (lacquer) Luodian tablets, various colors of longevity and Qingtian stones, and is made of daily furniture and handicrafts through painting and fine carving, which has the characteristics of wear resistance, acid resistance, brightness, flatness, firmness and durability. Suzhou lacquerware carving has fine materials, unique shape, smooth lines, exquisite painting and elegant color, which is unique in the style of traditional gardens in Suzhou. The main products are screens, hanging screens, round tables, square tables, stools, chairs, several complete sets of furniture and various small tourist souvenirs, which are divided into three categories: lacquer carving, flat grinding Luodian and bone surface inlay. The products are sold in Southeast Asia and European and American countries. On the occasion of the 2,500-year-old city of Suzhou, the giant Qi Diao screen "The Prosperous Picture of Suzhou" made by Suzhou Lacquerware Carving Factory was exhibited in the North Temple Tower. The work consists of ten pictures, 1, 8 meters high and 26 meters long. This Qi Diao work uses traditional black paint as the bottom surface, and uses the special method of shoveling the bottom to carve out the outer frame of an object, just like the lines drawn in traditional Chinese painting, and then fills in various colors, thus giving full play to the craftsmanship of carving, making the picture more bright and colorful and rich in layers, which makes it difficult to vividly show the prosperous social customs of marriage, farming, weaving, fishing and animal husbandry, acting and busking, and prosperous trade in the history of Gusu.
