Freshwater fish

Wujin is a famous freshwater fish culture base in southern Jiangsu, with a large surface fish culture area of 11,100 hectares. The main freshwater fish are not only flatfish, grass, carp, crucian carp and silver carp, but also many kinds of rare fish such as mandarin fish, mandarin fish, eel, soft-shelled turtle, sturgeon and eel. In 2003, 42.15 million kilograms of adult fish were produced, with an output value of 383 million yuan. Shrimp breeding varieties mainly include green shrimp, Rocky shrimp, metapenaeus ensis, lobster and so on. The annual output of freshwater shrimp in the whole region is 1.39 million kilograms. Clear water crabs are mainly Chinese velvet crabs, and the "Golden Claw Jade Crab" produced by Zheng Lu Huang Tiandang is the most precious and has been a tribute to the court. The annual output of freshwater crabs in the whole region is 1.466 million kilograms.
