Shushan pottery

Shushan pottery is a famous specialty in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Yixing is famous for its pottery and purple sand. Dingshu Town in Yixing is China's "Tao Dou", and the history of pottery making can be traced back to 5,000 years ago. Purple sand, celadon, jun pottery, painted pottery and fine pottery, which are called "five golden flowers", are well-known at home and abroad. Overseas, celadon is called "the sapphire of the East", painted pottery is called "pottery with gorgeous clothes", and fine pottery tableware is called "unbreakable porcelain", which makes pottery colorful and unique. As for Yixing's purple sand pottery, it is even more famous. The ancients have long commented that "the pearls and jade in the world are as good as a pill of soil in Yangjiangxi". Nowadays, Dingshu Town has famous craftsmen such as Gu Jingzhou, Gu Shaopei, Xu Xiutang, Wang Yintang, Shen Juhua, etc. His purple sand works have won international gold medals many times, and many of them have been collected and enjoyed by collectors at home and abroad.
