The largest watermelon can reach 30 to 40 kilograms. Bailidu District, on the west bank of Taihu Lake, is the main producing area of Yixing watermelons. The late-maturing watermelons here are called "blasphemous watermelons". After beginning of autumn, when other varieties of watermelons were out of the market, profane watermelons were on the market in large quantities to meet the needs of urban and rural people. Shanghai Yimin Food Factory has already signed a contract with some supply and marketing cooperatives in Yiding District to make canned watermelons from blasphemed watermelons and sell them overseas. Disdained watermelons have always been good to eat. Compared with watermelons produced in foreign countries and other local places, no matter the taste or the degree of sand, eating them is better than eating them.
