Coilia ectenes in Taihu Lake

During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, there were 10,000 Jin of bonito every year, so bonito was also called tribute fish. The meat of Coilia ectenes is tender and delicious, with rich nutrition, and its tender bones and eggs contain a lot of calcium. A small part of the mackerel produced in Taihu Lake is supplied to the market, most of which are sold after drying, and are also processed into baked plum spinning, minced fish and canned products. Taihu Lake has an annual output of about 700 tons of mackerel, which is booming from August to October, accounting for 80% of the annual output.
