Mashan taro

Produced in Mashan area and along the coast of Taihu Lake. It is famous for its high yield, good quality, soft and delicate glutinous rice, sweet and palatable. Mashan taro is rich in vitamins and minerals, and has medicinal values such as clearing away heat and resolving phlegm, relieving swelling and pain, moistening intestines and relaxing bowels. In the Mid-Autumn Festival, it is a traditional custom to have family reunion, return relatives and friends, and taste sweet-scented osmanthus candied taro.
