Wuxi Haocha is a specialty of Xishan District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. Wuxi Haocha is plump and curly in appearance, covered with velvet, with high and lasting fragrance, fresh and mellow taste, green and bright soup color and tender and even leaves. After brewing, the white hair is obvious and the soup color is green and clear. Wuxi tea culture has a long history. As early as the Ming Dynasty, there were records of monks planting tea in Huishan Temple. Huishan Spring, the famous "second spring in the world", is more like a pearl, adding a bright luster to Wuxi tea culture. In order to develop and inherit Wuxi's rich tea culture, Wuxi agricultural researchers successfully created Wuxi Haocha in 1979 after more than six years of hard research and development. After Wuxi Haocha was successfully created, it won awards in previous famous tea competitions, and was exported to the United States, Britain, Canada and other countries, and won favorable comments. Wuxi Haocha is mainly produced in the suburbs of Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. Its raw material is clonal fine variety Dahuo, and it is named after its finished product Baihuo. Dahuo tea tree was introduced from Fujian in 1966, which belongs to semi-arbor, big leaf type and early bud species, and has strong adaptability in Wuxi suburb near Taihu Lake. It is characterized by strong germination, neat germination, extra hairs on the bud tips, fat and heavy buds, high yield and strong stress resistance. The raw materials for making milli-tea, with one bud and one leaf as the main body, are refined through the processes of deactivating enzymes, kneading, rubbing hair and drying. The finished tea strips are curly, fat and green, covered with white hairs, fragrant and strong, the soup is green and bright, and the leaves are fat and tender. Wuxi Haocha, a rising star in Jiangsu famous tea forest, was developed by scientific and technical personnel from Wuxi Tea Variety Research Institute and other units in 1973. Wuxi Haocha has won many awards in the previous competitions of famous tea and high-quality food: it passed the scientific and technological appraisal in 1979 and successively won the provincial and municipal major scientific and technological achievement awards and the title of high-quality famous tea; In 1984, he won the Jiangsu Quality Food Award; In 1985, 1986 and 1990, it was rated as a national famous tea and a high-quality agricultural product by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Commerce respectively. In 1986, it was designated as one of the famous teas in China by the Ministry of Commerce. In 1988, he won the silver prize at the first China Food Expo. In 1989, it won the title of national famous tea at the appraisal meeting of high-quality agricultural products of Xi' an Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries; In 1991, he was awarded the title of "Famous Tea of China Culture" at Hangzhou International Tea Culture Festival. In 1992, he won the Excellent Product Award at the first China Agricultural Expo. In 2002, Jiangsu won the first place in the 10th "Luyu Cup", the first place in the China "China Cup" and the second gold medal in the second international famous tea appraisal.
