Lishui strawberry

Lishui strawberry is a specialty of Lishui District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. Lishui strawberry has the characteristics of early market, long fruit period and good quality, and is favored by the public. In the 2010 China Quality Strawberry Appraisal, Hongyan and Fengxiang strawberries selected by Lishui were rated as gold prize strawberries and the most popular strawberries among Nanjing citizens. In recent years, Lishui District has vigorously expanded urban modern agriculture, and the economic forest and fruit industries such as strawberries, plums, bayberries, blueberries and blackberries have formed their own characteristics. As the "hometown of strawberries", the strawberry planting area in the whole region currently exceeds 10,000 mu, of which Fujiabian Fine Strawberry Garden and other facilities cultivate more than 5,800 mu, making it the largest facility strawberry planting base in the province. In 2014, there were more than 2,000 strawberry growers in Lishui District. It is estimated that the sales revenue of strawberry fresh fruit will exceed 300 million yuan. The local strawberry garden also receives citizens for leisure, and attracts many tourists to go hiking and pick berries every spring.
