New Lotus Root No.1 Lotus Root No.1 is an early-middle maturity variety, with a growth period of 115 days and a seed consumption of 200-250 kg per mu in late March. The lotus leaf is wide, with obvious veins, a leaf diameter of 75 cm, a stout petiole, a plant height of 175 cm and white flowers. The main lotus root is about 30 cm into the mud, with 5-6 knots, 120 cm long and 7.5 cm thick. Lotus root nodes are round and thick, and the son lotus root and grandson lotus root are strong. Green lotus roots can be harvested in the middle and late July, and about 1500 kilograms per mu can be harvested after full maturity in the middle and late August. Planting the new No.1 lotus root has high economic benefits, with an average benefit of more than 2,000 yuan per mu, and the enthusiasm of the people for planting is relatively high, which has a good prospect of popularization and application. Tian 'ou base in Jing 'an Street has passed the certification of the origin conditions of provincial pollution-free agricultural products, and has registered the trademark of "Jingjiade" brand agricultural products in the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. At present, Tian 'ou base in Jing 'an has established sales contracts in more than ten large-scale farmers' markets and supermarkets in Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Wuxi and other large and medium-sized cities, with an annual sales volume of more than 4,000 tons.
