Huangpu river Chinese mitten crab

It is understood that Huangpu River hairy crabs are native to the upper reaches of Huangpu River in Songjiang, and have always been a famous product in Songjiang because of their appearance characteristics of "green back, white navel, golden claws and yellow hair" and the delicious taste of fresh meat. Since 1980s, the breeding of hairy crabs in Huangpu River has stopped due to many reasons, such as waterway construction and water pollution. Two years ago, Shanghai Yuyue Aquatic Cooperative and relevant government departments jointly tackled key problems, and adopted a series of new ecological technologies, such as rare crab species, grass planting in ponds, bottom oxygenation, water quality control, and stocking fresh bait, which made this famous Songjiang product return to the rivers and lakes. In the fourth "Harvest Cup" National Crab Competition last year, the Huangpu River hairy crabs won the Best Taste Award and the Golden Crab Award in one fell swoop.
