Ma Lu grape was planted in 1981, and has a history of 30 years. Ma Lu Town founded Shanghai Ma Lu Grape Research Institute in 1992 and was upgraded to Shanghai Grape Research Institute in 2000. In 2002, "Ma Lu" brand passed the certification of Shanghai Quality Agricultural Products Certification Center and became the first batch of "safe, hygienic and high quality" agricultural products in the suburbs; In 2003, in order to adapt to the rapid development of grape industry in Ma Lu, Shanghai Ma Lu Grape Development Co., Ltd. was established, which became a leading enterprise in the grape industry in Shanghai suburbs and built a thousand mu of high-quality grape production base in the original Jianbang area. Ma Lu high-quality pollution-free grapes have a high reputation in Shanghai and even the whole country, and are welcomed by the general public for their excellent quality, rich taste and rich nutrition. Grape is a characteristic product of agriculture in Ma Lu Town, and its planting scale ranks first in the city, involving thousands of households. Ma Lu Town was named "the hometown of grapes" in China by the Ministry of Agriculture in 1999. In 2001, the "Ma Lu" brand grape produced by Ma Lu Grape Research Institute won the gold medal. By 2004, the grape planting scale in Ma Lu was more than 4,300 mu, which still occupied a large proportion of the total grape production area in Shanghai suburbs. There are more than 1,000 farmers engaged in grape production in the town, with more than 2,000 professional technicians and production personnel. The comprehensive strength of vineyards such as Ma Lu Grape Garden and Farmhouse in Kei Megumi is strong. In 2004, the total output of grape production in the town was more than 6,900 tons, with a total output value of more than 36 million yuan, which provided a guarantee for increasing agricultural efficiency and increasing farmers' income.
