Shanghai jadeware

Shanghai jade has a history of more than 100 years. It mainly imitates bronzes, with quaint style and dignified shape. For example, the "Imitation Bronze Jade Toner" made in 1980 won the Silver Cup Award in the National Arts and Crafts Hundred Flowers Award. The work imitates the shape of bronze ware, which is steady and generous, with strong decorative patterns. It resembles the black jade of bronze, crystal clear, emitting beautiful luster, and there is a charm between similarity and dissimilarity. Made in 1979 and still treasured in Yokohama City Hall, Japan, the "Jade Hundred Buddha Bowl" is decorated with nearly 100 lotus leaves on the shape of a lotus bowl with a diameter of only 5 inches, and each lotus leaf has a small arhat, which is in various shapes and nuances. In addition, the "Jade Rhinoceros Zun" and "Jade Animal Face Pot" made in 1982 are also representative excellent works. Both figures and animals are vivid, beautiful and elegant, full of rhythm, and delicate and exquisite in craftsmanship.
