In the vast East China Sea, there is such a creature that swims like a fish, but it is not a fish. People used to call it "cuttlefish" or "cuttlefish". It is one of the famous seafood products in China. In Zhejiang, it is called "four economic fish" together with large yellow croaker, small yellow croaker and hairtail, and is deeply loved by consumers. In fact, cuttlefish is the largest invertebrate in the sea, belonging to Cephalopoda, sepiidae. Its bone, called a sea clam, is pale and has pigment cells under its skin, thus showing various spots with different colors. The ink sac in the body is developed, and if it is harmed by the enemy, it will radiate ink and hide itself. Cuttlefish live in the deep sea in winter and swim to the coastal reef in spring and summer to spawn and breed. When laying eggs, they are close to islands and rocks, and they are laid on attachments such as seaweed. Its life cycle is short, its growth is fast, and it is annual. Cuttlefish are fond of light and have large groups, so fishermen often use fire to trap and do their homework at night. The summer cuttlefish flood formed in Shengshan Fishing Ground belongs to Zhejiang cuttlefish group. From late April to early May, it successively entered the spawning grounds of Ma 'an Islands from Langgang and Haijiao, forming the cuttlefish flood season of Shengshan, Lycium barbarum, flowers and birds, green flowers, Bixia and Sijiao Huanglong. Cuttlefish has high edible, nutritional and medicinal value, and its whole body is a treasure. Cuttlefish, eggs and spine (Chinese medicine named cuttlebone) can all be used as medicine.
