In 1995, it was rated as an advanced county in animal husbandry production in China; In 1997, it was officially named "the hometown of dairy cows in China" by the organizing committee of China specialty town. Especially in recent years, the animal husbandry in Anda, which mainly focuses on milk and beef cattle, has developed rapidly. By the end of 1998, there were 91,093 cows, 44,705 beef cattle and 166,000 live pigs in the city, and the output value of animal husbandry was 376 million yuan, accounting for 42.7% of the agricultural output value. Anda has 2.72 million mu of grassland, which is one of the three high-quality grasslands in the world. It is known as the pearl grassland in the world. It has a first-class gramineous grass-Leymus chinensis, which was once a royal hunting ground. It belongs to the highest type grassland in temperate grassland-meadow grassland, and is a typical representative area of Songnen Plain, which is suitable for developing dairy industry. At the same time, four dairy farming belts in Anqing, Anda, Ansa and Anlan and 50,000 modern dairy farming belts in Mingshen Road were planned and built, five dairy high-yield parks in Xianyuan Township, Bayi Dairy Farm and Qingkenpao Community were built, and 10 modern-scale pastures, such as Friendship Dairy Farming Park, Beinmei Wantou Dairy Farm, Haolin Animal Husbandry, Aojia Wantou Ranch and Sanhao Ranch, were newly built, and the base construction was initially formed. In 2011, the output value of animal husbandry in the city was 4.656 billion yuan, accounting for 59.4% of the total agricultural output value. The per capita income of animal husbandry is 5650 yuan, accounting for 55% of agricultural income, of which the output value of dairy industry is 1.95 billion yuan, and the per capita income of dairy cows is 3000 yuan.
