Northeast Min pig is an ancient local pig breed in Northeast China. There are three types: large (Damin pig), medium (Ermin pig) and small (pouch pig). At present, except for a few large and small pigs in rural areas in remote areas, the masses mainly raise medium-sized pigs. Characteristics Northeast Min pig has the outstanding advantages of more litter, good meat quality, cold resistance and roughage tolerance, which has been paid attention to at home and abroad. Specific conditions Variety characteristics The whole body coat is black. Strong physique, medium head. The face is straight and the ears are drooping. The back and waist are flat, with a single ridge and more than 7 pairs of nipples. Strong limbs, narrow hindquarters, good bristles and dense brown-red fluff in winter. At the age of 8 months, the boar weighs 79.5 kg, with a body length of 105 cm, and the sow weighs 90.3 kg and has a body length of 112 cm. Fattening performance: 240-day-old weight is 98 ~ 101.2 kg, daily gain is 495 g, and 4.23 kg of mixed concentrate is consumed for every 1 kg gain. Slaughtered with a weight of 99.25 kg, the slaughter rate was 75.6%. In recent years, after breeding and improving the diet structure, the weight of civilian pigs at the age of 233 days can reach 90 kg, the lean meat rate is 48.5%, and the feed-meat ratio is 4.1 8:1. Reproductive performance: Estrus will appear when you are 3 ~ 4 days old. The estrus cycle of sows is 18 ~ 24 days, and the duration is 3 ~ 7 days. In rural areas, male sows begin to breed when they are 6-8 months old and weigh 50-60 kg. The conception rate of adult sows is generally 98%, and the gestation period is 114-115 days. There are 14.7 litters, 13.19 live litters, and 11-12 live litters in two months. The crossbreeding effect was that Duroc boar was used as the male parent to crossbreed with Northeast Min pig. The first generation of hybrid pig weighed 90 kg at 205 days, the feed-meat ratio was 3.81:1, and the lean meat rate was 56.19%. A hybrid pig with Landrace as the male parent and Northeast Min pig. Feeding for 127.4 days can reach 90 kg. The ratio of feed to meat was 3.22: 1, and the lean meat rate was 53.47%. When Hanxia boar is used as the male parent to cross with Northeast Min pig, its hybrid pig can reach 90 kg at the age of 179 days, the feed-meat ratio is 3.78: 1, and the lean meat rate is 56.65%.
