Tongjiang Pepper-like Mint Production Base is located in the south of Tongjiang City and on the east side of Tongshan Highway. It is planned to build a pepper-like Mint planting area of 10,000 mu, build 27 electromechanical devices, purchase 15 sets of sprinkler irrigation equipment and 80 sets of mint processing equipment, with a project investment of 2.95 million yuan. The final product of peppermint is peppermint oil, which is widely used in food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. The domestic and international markets are in good condition. Because only Xinjiang and Zhuhai are planted in China at present, the product market is in short supply. Pepper-like peppermint oil, because of its cool nature and pungent taste, can be used as wind-expelling drugs and aromatic stomach-invigorating drugs, as well as cosmetics, sweets, wines and refreshing drinks, and can also be used as a medicine to relieve exterior symptoms and treat exogenous fever, headache, jealousy, sore throat, toothache, skin addiction, scabies, etc. Crude oil is generally used to extract menthol and make mint series spices, and a small part is used as drinks and scabies.
