Yichun city has a continental monsoon climate in the north temperate zone. The temperature is low, the precipitation is abundant, the soil is mainly dark brown soil, the soil composition is acidic and the organic matter content is high, which is suitable for planting blueberries. Yichun wild blueberry grows in frozen soil, which has the characteristics of pollution-free and pure natural green, and is known as "the fruit of life in cold regions". Many products have won provincial famous trademarks, and 22 kinds of blueberry products have obtained organic food certification. Yichun City was awarded the honor of "Hometown of Blueberries in China" by China Small Berry Association. Yichun is not only the main producing area of wild blueberries in China, but also the most suitable area for planting blueberries. Yichun blueberries, which are mature in wild blueberries, are precious and limited in quantity. In order to develop blueberry industry, large-scale artificial planting must be developed while protecting wild resources. Since 2006, Wuying, Youhao, Dailing and Tieli Bureau have successively introduced tissue-cultured blueberries for planting experiments. In 2010, the city began to plant blueberries on a large scale. By the end of 2011, the city had planted 10,500 mu of blueberries, of which 538 mu entered the fruiting period and produced more than 60,000 kilograms of fresh fruit, achieving sales income of more than 3 million yuan. By 2012, the planting area of blueberries in the city had reached 30,000 mu. On the streets of Yichun, in any local specialty store, there are always several things essential: pecans, hazelnuts, pine nuts, mushrooms and blueberries. Fresh blueberry berries are made into sweet and sour dried blueberry, which not only solves the problem that the fresh blueberry season is too short, but also facilitates transportation. In recent years, Yichun District, Yichun City has vigorously implemented the strategy of establishing ecological zone, prospering commercial service zone and industrial rich zone, introduced a number of good projects and large projects with low energy consumption, high output value and large tax payment, and actively promoted the development of blueberry deep processing industry. Now the blueberries produced in Yichun can be eaten fresh and made into fruit wine for drinking, and can also be made into dried blueberries, blueberry candy, blueberry juice, blueberry cakes and so on. Small blueberries are developing into a big industry in Yichun.
