Dailing pine nuts

Relying on the advantages of forest resources, Dailing Forestry Research Institute of Heilongjiang Province makes every effort to promote the transformation of scientific research results into productive forces. Grafting Korean pine with new technologies is a national key project undertaken by Dailing Forestry Research Institute in the Sixth Five-Year Plan and the Seventh Five-Year Plan. Under the technical guidance of the institute, more than 1 million Korean pine trees have been grafted by various forestry bureaus in Yichun. According to reports, grafted Korean pine can bear fruit nearly 30 years earlier than natural Korean pine. After each grafted Korean pine enters the full fruit stage, it can produce 5 kilograms of pine nuts per year. Now the market price of each kilogram of pine nuts is 40 yuan, and the economic benefit of more than 1 million grafted Korean pine nuts per year is about 200 million yuan. Pine nuts are the kernels of Pinus armandii, Pinus koraiensis and Pinus massoniana in Pinaceae. In the Tang Dynasty's Herbal Medicine of Sea Medicine, it is recorded that "sea pine seeds warm the stomach and intestines, and after long-term administration, they are fit and prolong life". In people's minds, pine nuts are regarded as "longevity fruit", also known as "fresh products in nuts", which are loved by people and are most beneficial to the elderly.
