Beidacang Liquor is a high-quality Daqu liquor made in 1958 by Beidacang Distillery in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, using the production technology of Maotai Distillery in Guizhou Province. This liquor was trial-produced in 1958 and put on the market in 1960 with its unique style. This liquor not only has the typical style of Maotai-flavor Daqu liquor, but also has the characteristics of northern liquor, so it is very popular. In 1962, this wine was ranked the first among 12 kinds of wines in Northeast China. In 1978, it was rated as a local famous wine at the provincial high-quality wine appraisal reception. In 1980, it was rated as a local famous wine again at the provincial high-quality wine appraisal meeting. In 1984, it won the bronze cup award of the Ministry of Light Industry. Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province was named Bukui City in ancient times. Every spring, the wind is very strong, sometimes the wind rolls yellow sand, the dust flies, the sky is covered, and the trees are folded, so it is known as "the wind blows Bukui". Qiqihar, which used to be located in the fertile Nenjiang Plain, was called the "Great Northern Wilderness" because it was "grey, wild, sparsely populated and desolate". Today's Great Northern Wilderness has become a famous "Great Northern Warehouse". Therefore, the wine was named Beidacang wine. Beidacang liquor is made of sorghum, a local specialty, and Daqu made of barley, wheat, soybean and corn is used as saccharifying starter. Based on the brewing process of Maotai liquor, combined with local conditions, the process adopts one-time feeding, pool accumulation, continuous koji addition, batch taking, long-term storage and careful blending. The wine quality characteristics of Beidacang wine; Clear and transparent, yellowish, with outstanding maotai flavor, pure fragrance, mellow entrance, soft and sweet taste and lingering fragrance, it belongs to maotai-flavor liquor. Wine critics believe that: the smell is fragrant, similar to the smell of Maotai; The mouth of the drink is soft and the aftertaste is long. The wine is not only sold domestically, but also exported abroad. The protection scope of geographical indication products of Beidacang Liquor covers the administrative areas under the jurisdiction of Longsha District, jianhua district District, Tiefeng District, Fulaerji District, Anganxi District and Longjiang County in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province.
