For many years, Acheng cantaloupe enjoys a good reputation in the province with its unique natural ecological environment, specific growth mode and unique quality characteristics, and is favored by the old people. In 2012, Acheng District Green Food Office excavated the history and culture of Acheng cantaloupe, and declared Acheng cantaloupe as a national product registered and protected by geographical indications of agricultural products. Acheng District is located 23 kilometers southeast of Harbin, covering an area of 2,500 square kilometers. The basic landform is "six mountains, one water and three fields", which governs 5 sub-district offices in 9 towns, 108 administrative villages and 808 natural villages. The total population is 580,000, including 342,000 rural residents and 109,000 agricultural households. There are 1.088 million mu of cultivated land, 60,000 mu of grassland, 200,000 mu of water, 14 rivers and 1.55 million mu of forest land, and the forest coverage rate in the whole region reaches 49.4%. Geographical coordinates are 126 40' 00 "east longitude ~ 127 40' 00" north latitude ~ 45 10' 00 ". Acheng cantaloupe is a geographical indication product of agricultural products.
