Longjing Apple Pear is a scion of 6 pears introduced from Korea in 1921 and grafted with the cold-resistant Yamanashi in Xiaoji Village, Taoyuan Township, Longjing City. At that time, only 3 trees survived. After several generations of careful cultivation and continuous breeding, the state gave great support to Longjing Apple Pear from human and material resources after the founding of the People's Republic of China, which made the cultivation of Longjing Apple Pear develop rapidly. Apple Pear likes cold and humid climate and is resistant to cold. It can be safely wintered within -32 degrees, and it is suitable to grow on hilly slopes with a large temperature difference between day and night at an altitude of about 300 meters. Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, located in Changbai Mountain range, provides a good ecological environment for the growth of apple pear trees. Apple pear trees bloom in mid-May every year, and the fruit matures in late September. Young trees can bear fruit in 4-5 years, and enter the full fruit period in 8-9 years. Apple pear is characterized by large fruit, large flesh, small stone, no dead cells, milky white flesh, rich juice, moderate sweetness and sourness and storability. According to the analysis, its water content is 85.9%, total acid is 0.33%, reducing sugar is 8.33%, and total sugar is 9.69%. It is rich in vitamins such as vitamin C, B1 B2 and calcium, phosphorus and iron. It has the functions of moistening lung, eliminating phlegm, relieving cough, reducing fire, clearing heart fire and diuresis, and can also stimulate appetite and help digestion. Can also make jam, preserved fruit, fruit wine, canned food and so on. When cooking Korean-style spicy cabbage, mix a few slices of apple and pear to make the flavor side dishes more refreshing. At present, apple-pear saplings have been introduced to 20 Yu Sheng, municipalities, autonomous regions, North Korea, Romania and other countries. In 1985, the national inspection and evaluation meeting of apple pears was held in agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery. Longjing apple pears were rated as the first high-quality pears in China, exported to Hong Kong and other places, and were rated as "Jilin sweet pears" in the Hong Kong market because of their juicy fruit crispness.
