The total sum of amino acids in the front and back paws is the subcutaneous connective tissue of dermis and epidermis. The front paw is slightly higher than the back paw, but there is no obvious difference. The amino acids in epidermis are glutamic acid, glycine, serine and leucine. According to Chinese medicine, bear's paw is a kind of precious tonic food, which is flat in nature and sweet in taste, and enters the spleen and stomach meridian. "Japanese Materia Medica" records that bear's paw can resist cold and tonify qi, and "Compendium of Medicine" also records that bear's paw can nourish blood and qi, dispel wind and remove arthralgia.
