Dunhua City is located in the east of Jilin Province, at the northern foot of Changbai Mountain. It belongs to a warm and cool area in the humid monsoon climate in the middle temperate zone. The weather in the area is cool, the temperature difference between day and night is large, and the rain and heat are in the same season. The unique climate resources are very beneficial to the growth and development of soybeans. The produced soybean oil has high content and no environmental pollution. For a long time, because the commercial soybean produced by our city ranks first in the province in both quantity and quality, it is one of the important soybean production bases in Jilin Province, and soybean has become the main industry for farmers to survive and get rich in our city. At present, Dunhua soybean planting area is 80,000 hectares, with an annual output of about 180,000 tons, making it one of the 800 major grain-producing counties in China. Our city is located in the alpine mountain area, with cool climate, large temperature difference between day and night, heavy rainfall and abundant sunshine, which is the best planting area for high-protein soybeans and small beans. The superior geographical location and unique climatic conditions are very beneficial to the growth of high-protein soybeans and small-grain soybeans, which are incomparable in other regions, because soybeans are crops that need more water and like to grow in acidic or slightly acidic soil. The concentrated rainfall in June and July is beneficial to the flowering and pod setting of soybeans. There is sufficient sunshine in August and September, and the temperature difference between day and night is large, which is conducive to the formation and accumulation of soybean seeds. The protein content is over 44%, which is 1-2 percentage points higher than that in the central and western regions of our province. In recent years, the cultivation techniques of high-quality and high-yield soybeans have been matched, integrated and popularized, and the average oil content of soybeans has reached more than 20%.
