Crataegus pinnatifida (hawthorn)

Crataegus pinnatifida, also known as hawthorn, is one of the economic wild fruits in Changbai Mountain. It is a small deciduous tree of Rosaceae, with dark gray bark, light yellow lenticels, purplish brown branchlets, simple leaves alternate or clustered on short branches, broad oval leaves, corymbose inflorescences, white flowers, pink at the later stage, spherical fruits, deep red after ripening and light spots on the surface. The flowering period is 5-6 months and the fruiting period is July-October. Born in sunny slopes, forest edges, bushes and vegetable forests between 400-1000 meters above sea level, it is distributed in counties of Changbai Mountain. The fruit of Crataegus pinnatifida is sweet, sour and delicious. It can promote fluid production to quench thirst, and can also be used as medicine, which belongs to spleen, stomach and liver meridian, and has the effects of promoting digestion, resolving food stagnation, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.
