Big whitebait The 107,000 mu water surface of five fishing grounds, such as Sihaibao in Taonan, has formed the scale of producing whitebait. In 1999, 20 tons of whitebait were salvaged, and 152 million sperm eggs were produced, with an output value of 860,000 yuan. Because the water quality in our region is pollution-free and the color of whitebait is good, it is favored by Japanese and Taiwan Province merchants, and most of its products are exported to Southeast Asia. By 2002, it is planned to develop 150,000 mu of water surface, with an annual output of 150,000 kg of whitebait and an annual output value of 20 million yuan.
