Fusong ginseng

Fusong is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, China, under Changbai Mountain and beside Songhua River. Ginseng has been cultivated in this county for more than 300 years. By 1982, 97% of the villages in the county had ginseng, with more than 300 participants, and the total output of ginseng exceeded 1.5 million Jin, in exchange for more than 9 million US dollars in foreign exchange. The output of ginseng ranks first in the country, and the export volume accounts for more than 35% of the country. Fusong has become a large ginseng production base in China and is known as the "hometown of ginseng". Fusong County is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, with an east longitude of 127 01'-128 05' and a north latitude of 41 42'-42 49'. It borders Antu County in the east, Jingyu County in the west, Linjiang and Jiangyuan in the southwest, Huadian and Dunhua in the north, Changbai and Korea in the southeast. The county is 119 kilometers long from north to south and 82 kilometers wide from east to west, covering an area of 6,530 square kilometers. It now governs 14 townships with a population of 320,000. Ginseng cultivation in our county began in the late Ming Dynasty, with a history of 440 years. With a long history of development, ginseng industry has become the advantage and pillar industry in our county. By the end of 2006, the planting area of ginseng in the county reached 11.934 million square meters. The yield of ginseng reached 3.3 kg. The total output of ginseng is 5.782 million kilograms. The construction project of ginseng pollution-free standardized cultivation demonstration base was implemented in our county and successfully passed the provincial acceptance. In recent years, we have stepped up the transformation and intensive processing of ginseng resources, and initially formed ginseng intensive processing enterprises with Fusong Ginseng Co., Ltd., Fusong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Hongjiu Ginseng Co., Ltd., Nature Bioengineering Co., Ltd., Jilin Tianrun Ecological Food Co., Ltd., Wanliang Fuyu and Ginseng antler Co., Ltd. as the backbone. After several years of cultivation and development, the county has developed and produced "Fubao" brand Changbai Mountain Red Ginseng and Changbai Mountain White Ginseng, "Donglin" brand Red Ginseng and Sun-dried Ginseng, "Chenxian" brand Sun-dried Ginseng without pesticide residue, Huanggong, Songling, Shuzheng, Baju and other ginseng primary processing products, which are very popular in the market. Fusong County has a history of 440 years since the first year of Qin Long in the Ming Dynasty. In 1995, it was named "the hometown of ginseng in China" by the state, ranking first among the "Baxter" named in the same period in China. It has the largest ginseng trading market in Asia, and the newly-built Wanliang Changbai Mountain ginseng market, with an investment of 120 million yuan, covers an area of 54,000 square meters. It gathers and drives ginseng produced in Hengren and Xinbin in Liaoning in the west, Hunchun in Yanbian in the east and Daxinganling in Heilongjiang in the north. The sales network covers more than 30 countries and regions such as the United States, Canada, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. Fusong Ginseng is a geographical indication certification trademark.
