Usnea longissima is also known as tree hanging and pine parasitism. It is a lichen plant of Usnea family. Its original plant is linear, with a length of 20-100 cm, and its base is attached to the bark, drooping, with dense small and short lateral branches, with a length of 1-2 cm and all gray-green. Walking into the humid forest at an altitude of 500-900 meters in Changbai Mountain, we often see these gray-green filaments draped over conifers, just like beautiful tree hangings, and like the veil left in the forest after the immortal left, which constitutes the unique landscape of Changbai forest area. The whole plant of usnea longissima can be used as medicinal material after drying. In addition, there is another lichen plant in Changbai Mountain called Sonchidae, which is also born in the humid forest at an altitude of 500-900 meters and parasitic on old trees or ravines. Betula platyphylla, also known as "Laoqunxu", has a filiform, soft, yellowish green, about 30-40 cm long, few branches at the base and dense branches at the apex. From a distance, it really looks like the beard of a white-haired old man. The chemical composition and medicinal value of Usnea henryi are similar to those of Usnea longissima.
