Xinxingyuan steamed dumplings

Jilin's staple food flavor is praised by people as Xinxing Garden steamed dumplings, Xiaoxiao fire spoon and friends making steamed buns. Yuanlong steamed dumplings in Xinxing Garden, Henan Street have a long reputation, with a history of nearly 70 years. Jiaozi is beautiful in appearance, even in head, thin and shiny in skin, rich in tendons and gravy, and delicious in taste. It is very popular with customers when served with a bowl of clear soup. Now it has been included in the historical evolution of Jilin Pastry Garden: in 1894, Dong Shichang opened a small restaurant called Dongjia Restaurant. 1901: Dong Shichang digs Wang Zhaoyuan and Wang Zhaoji into his hotel. The Wangs introduced the round steamed dumplings they learned in Shandong to the store. At that time, the dumpling restaurant was one of the most famous restaurants in Jilin, commonly known as Wang's dumpling restaurant. 1920: Wang Zhaoyuan and Wang Zhaoji took over the hotel and rented three stores in the west section of Henan Street, named "Tianyixing", which mainly engaged in steamed dumplings and sauced meat. The two brothers constantly innovated the production technology of jiaozi, and developed a new technology of "skin rolling, one skin under three times". The jiaozi skin is thin and even, but not hard and hard, which is called a unique skill. 1935: "Tianyixing" Hotel expanded its new store and moved from the west end of Henan Street to the north end of Dongtou Road, where it is now. Han Yu, a famous chef at that time, mainly engaged in steamed dumplings in round cages, adding stir-fried dishes and catering. The store number was named after Han Yu's word Yu, and it was changed from "Tianyixing" to "Tianyuxing". 1948: Jilin was liberated. At that time, the Chamber of Commerce sent Qu Yunzhi and Yang Changxing to work in the "Tianyuxing" Hotel, promoted Qu Yunzhi as the manager (her husband was the buddy of the Wang brothers), and specially invited the old shopkeeper Wang Zhaoyuan to participate in the quality management of the enterprise. 1950: On the basis of the original "Tianyuxing" Hotel, the dumpling restaurant was reopened at the original site, and the store number was "Xinxing Garden". 1956: The municipal government approved the public-private partnership, and Xinxing Garden Dumpling House was merged into Jiangcheng Hotel, a city catering service company. During this period, the name of the store was once changed to Henan Street Dumpling House (the business location has not changed). In 1962, in order to maintain the traditional variety of Wang's home dumplings, the city catering service company separated Xinxing Garden Dumplings from Jiangcheng Hotel and set up an independent business unit. 1989: Xinxing Garden steamed dumplings won the title of "Jinding Award" by the Ministry of Commerce. 1997: Won the title of "Chinese Famous Snack" by China Cuisine Association. In 1999, it was awarded the title of "Centennial Time-honored Brand" by the Provincial Cuisine Association, the title of Jicai Famous Store and Dumpling Banquet, and the title of China Famous Point by the Ministry of Internal Trade.
