Fumao brand dried pepper is produced in Fushun Township, taonan city City, Jilin Province in Saibei Plain. Fushun Township is located in the middle of Taojiao River. The soil here is fertile, the annual accumulated temperature is high, the sunshine is strong, the temperature difference between day and night is large, and the rainfall is less. It has a unique natural advantage to grow peppers. At the same time, good water conservancy facilities provide superior conditions for the development of pepper industry. This beautiful and rich land has the reputation of "the hometown of four spices" at home and abroad ("four spices" refers to peppers, green onions, garlic and yellow smoke). Dried peppers such as turtle top red in Fushun township have been produced and processed for nearly a hundred years as commodities. As early as October 1971, Fushun dried pepper participated in the Canton Fair as a "Taonan specialty". In December of the same year, Premier Zhou signed and approved the exemption for direct export to Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and other countries and regions. In recent years, with the development of market economy and active participation in market competition, Fushun dried pepper has gained a firm foothold in international and domestic markets. In the fierce market competition, Fushun pepper industry has achieved unprecedented development. At present, it has formed a production chain with market leading, leading with base, company connecting farmers, contract plus service, and embarked on an agricultural cooperative road of integration of trade, workers and peasants, production and marketing. Fushun pepper has also become a famous brand in Jilin Province with the name of "Fumao". Fumao brand dried pepper has the characteristics of beautiful fruit shape, uniform head, thick cortex, delicious taste, high pigment and vitamin content. At the beginning of 1999, this series of products declared the registered trademark right of national agricultural and sideline products, and was officially named "Fumao brand" dried pepper by the national competent department, and continued to produce series of processed products. In June of the same year, 14 data were tested by the Food Quality Inspection and Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, and all reached the national first-class standard. In September, Jilin famous brand will participate in the international agricultural products fair held in Beijing. Fumao brand dry pepper production base is the largest dry pepper production base in Northeast China. There are 120 seedling greenhouses with an area of 36,000 square meters, with 3,000 hectares of pepper planted and a total output of 12 million kilograms. Fumao brand dried pepper is developed on the basis of local turtle top red pepper, and has formed several series. Among them, international excellent varieties such as Zaoguang, Fuqiang, Yiduhong, Tiansheng and Tianyu 3 have all settled here. Fumao brand dried pepper processing has flourished. There are 25 large and small processing enterprises in the township, with a daily processing capacity of 12,500 kilograms and an annual processing capacity of 5 million kilograms. Fumao brand dried pepper has a wide sales market, and the company has established trade cooperation with more than 300 merchants in some countries and 21 domestic provinces and cities, and indirectly exported to South Korea and Southeast Asia and other countries and regions.
