Relying on the unique advantages of Songhua River's rich water resources, the annual output of high-quality rice is 400,000 tons, which provides sufficient sources of raw materials for the development of agricultural products processing industry. Songhua River rice is a specialty of Changchun. Changchun City is located in the Songhua River Basin in the middle of Songliao Plain, with fertile soil and abundant precipitation, which is rich in high-quality rice. Songhua River rice is famous all over the country. Our city should give full play to this unique resource advantage, make the rice industry bigger and stronger, stimulate economic development, and make the rice industry a business card of Changchun. Changchun has a rice planting area of 114,000 hectares with an annual output of 1.286 million tons. There are eleven rice processing enterprises above designated size with an annual output of nearly 800,000 tons. In recent years, due to the increase of rice processing enterprises, various rice brands in the market are mixed, and the quality of products is uneven. This fragmented management mode has seriously weakened the brand effect of rice in our city and lost the competitiveness of domestic and foreign markets. Therefore, in order to accelerate the further development of rice industry in Changchun, we should make use of the brand effect of "Songhua River" brand rice in Changchun to make it bigger and stronger.
