Duobao fish belongs to the flatfish family, commonly known as European flounder, and is called "Duobao fish" in China. The body is flat and almost round, with eyes on the left, and the eye side is bluish brown with a small amount of prickles; The eye side is smooth and white, and the dorsal fin and buttock are long and hard. The males reach sexual maturity in one year, and the females reach sexual maturity in two years. The natural maturity period is from May to August every year. Mature eggs can be obtained from artificially cultured parent fish all year round under the condition of controlled temperature and light. At present, artificial insemination is used for artificial reproduction. In the first ten days of November, 2006, Duobao fish was found to have pesticide residues in Shanghai. Beijing attached great importance to this, and strengthened sampling inspection of Duobao fish. In the subsequent inspection, three samples were found to have pesticide residues. In the attitude of being responsible to consumers, on November 20, Beijing Food Office took temporary control measures for Duobao fish in the whole city according to Beijing Food Safety Supervision and Management Regulations. After the implementation of temporary control measures, it caused great shock in the production and breeding areas of Duobao fish. Xingcheng City, which has a specialized multi-treasure fish culture park, attaches great importance to it. Local government departments have visited Beijing many times to understand Beijing's food safety-related policy requirements and actively take measures to further standardize management: First, give full play to the self-discipline role of fishery culture associations and improve the internal management mechanism; The second is to set up a pool to be inspected, that is, seven days before the listing of Duobao fish, the fishery breeding association will arrange a special person to take a specified number of samples from the products to be listed, and send them to a testing institution with nationally recognized qualifications for item-by-item testing according to standards; Third, after the samples pass the test, the association will issue the certificate of origin, test report and other qualification certificates stamped with the official seal, which will enter the sales link with the listed turbot. Beijing Food Office conducted a comprehensive and detailed understanding of Xingcheng Duobao Fish Culture Park, carefully examined the certificate of origin, test report and other qualification certificates issued by it, and considered that it had met the conditions for entering the Beijing market, and Xingcheng Duobao Fish became the first batch of products allowed to enter Beijing for sale after taking temporary measures. On March 28th, 2012, the trademark "Xingcheng Duobao Fish" successfully passed the preliminary announcement of the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and was successfully registered as a national geographical indication certification trademark.
