Wild flower-covered crab

The scientific name is Scylla serrata, a species of Portunus. Its breastplate is 9 cm long, 13 cm wide and weighs 0.2-0.5 kg. The back is raised, smooth and turquoise. Because of the gray-green pattern, it is commonly known as "flower-covered crab" in this area, with strong claws, and the last pair of feet is awarded. It is the object of marine fishing and artificial breeding, distributed in sandy or muddy seabed about 10-30 meters, and more in warm and low salinity sea areas, so it is often caught in estuaries and coastal areas. Good at swimming, active at night, burrowing in the daytime. Cultured crabs are harvested by counter-current method or dry pond method.
