Silkworm pupae are eaten as delicious food in the United States, Japan, Australia, France and other places. In some areas of our country, they have the habit of eating for a long time. According to the analysis, the amino acid composition of silkworm chrysalis protein meets the standards recommended by WHo/FA0, and it is an ideal complete protein. Its nutritional value is comparable to that of milk and eggs, and its oil is also rich in nutrition. It can be refined into nutritional oil and is suitable for patients with hypertension. However, due to its unique smell and habits, it has not been widely eaten directly. Generally, it is only used as feed or processed into amino acids and then used in food, which is very wasteful. Based on the purpose of direct consumption, we developed silkworm pupa insect snack food, which not only made it a delicacy on the table, but also became a snack food for people.
