Shuangtaihekou National Nature Reserve, 30 kilometers southwest of Panjin City, covering an area of 1.2 million mu, is a well-preserved swamp wetland with a beautiful ecological environment and 236 species of birds. Every spring and March, migratory birds come to the south one after another, and the birds in the sky are like clouds, the beaches are covered with water, the birds are singing and dancing, and the fish, shrimps and bugs in the swamp form a biological chain that depends on birds. It is not only the southernmost limit of red-crowned crane breeding in China, but also the largest breeding ground of endangered black-billed gull in the world so far. There is a 14-meter-high crane pavilion in the vast reed sea, which is an excellent position for bird watching.
